When creating this concept, there was a very new player in the video space that was just starting to gain traction - TikTok. At the time it had just transitioned from Musical.ly and the user base was still fairly young and small, still being dwarfed by larger players like Snapchat. Recognizing this trend we sought to replicate their early success in a gamified way, but ultimately Mattel decided to not move forward with the concept.
